Jets linebacker Brandon Copeland has interesting story. He graduated from The University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business in 2013. Wharton is currenlty rated as the third best business school in the World.

After his graduation, he was drafted into the NFL and has spent the last 6 years as a linebacker in the league.

But what makes his story interesting is what he does durning the offseason. After the season is over he works as a data analyst at Weiss Multi-Strategy Advisers, which is a Wall Street advisory firm, he also opened a real estate company last year, and this year he started teaching as an adjunct Ivy League college professor at his alma mater, UPenn.

He teaches a class called “Inequity and empowerment, Urban financial literacy”. The objective of the class is to shed light on the economic inequity that exists across racial and social economic lines, and ways to improve it. He co-teaches the class with Dr. Brian Peterson, who is the director of Makku, UPenn’s Black Cultural Center.

Brandon has stated that his goal is to have financial literacy taught in schools at all ages and to eventually close the racial wealth gap through education and economic empowerment.
