

The most underrated fact about the peopling of The Americas, is that the Maternal Lineage of Haplogroup B, which is most closely related to Filipinos, did not cross the Siberian Ice Bridge during the last Ice Age along with the other Pan American mitochondrial Haplogroups, A, C & D. Instead, Hg B came from across the Pacific Ocean.
The same studies that show the genetic relationship between Indigenous Americans and Australian Aborigines, Melanesians, and people from the Andaman Islands, also show frequencies amongst the American Southwest, Pima people and Meso-american Mixe speakers. This is a language branch that is believed to have been influenced by, and is associated with, the Olmec civilization.
