Interesting, how in this painting the “Catechismvs Lutheri lingva svecico-americana” and it’s Colloquia (in Delaware and Swedish) stating that in 1643 the Delaware-Lenape people were described as a YHWH-Hebraic people. Evident by YHWH the Sun as most prominent in the artist’s message.
Delaware Indians. The Delaware natives, also called the Lenape, originally lived along the Delaware River in New Jersey. They speak a form of the Algonquian language and are thus related to the Miami natives, Ottawa natives, and Shawnee natives. The Delawares were called “Grandfathers” by the other Algonquian tribes.
